TRAVEL DIARIES - CHINA
Our latest journey through China took us behind the scenes of craftsmanship, creativity and sourcing, as we explored the places and people behind some of our most loved Arms Of Eve pieces.
A quick stopover in Shanghai was the perfect introduction to this magical country, filled with vibrant city streets, late-night dinners and bustling energy. A special shout-out to our matching Après Loungewear Set for keeping us comfortable and effortlessly stylish throughout the long journey and busy days on the go.
LINYIN
From there, we travelled to Linyin to visit the hat factory where our viral Jackson Hat is carefully handwoven. Located remotely outside of the bustling city, the journey gave us a deeper appreciation for the artistry and craftsmanship behind each piece. Watching the weaving process firsthand and meeting the makers behind one of our most loved styles was a truly special experience.
Dongguan and Yiwu
We then visited Dongguan and Yiwu, where we spent time with the jewellery factories behind our 14k gold-plated jewellery and gemstone collections. Experiencing the production process firsthand and collaborating one-on-one with our extended team allowed us to further refine the quality, finish, and intricate details that make every Arms Of Eve piece so special.
One of our highlights was spending time with our suppliers. We are so grateful to be warmly welcomed into their hometowns and share unforgettable nights out together along the way.
Canton jewellery fair
Our final stop was Guangzhou for the Canton Fair, one of the world’s largest trade fairs and an inspiring hub for design, sourcing and innovation.
One of our favourite areas to explore was Parc Central, a vibrant destination filled with incredible shopping, amazing food and the energy of the city all in one place.
While in Guangzhou, we also visited Shamian Island, a unique and historic part of the city once occupied by the British and French during the colonial period. With its beautiful European-style architecture, quiet streets and rich history, it was one of the most memorable places we explored during the trip.
Travelling through China gave us an even deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship, creativity and partnerships behind every Arms Of Eve collection. We can’t wait to share more of what’s coming next.
